Four Hand Reel were Julian Gurr (mandolin) and Andy Stone (guitar). We took our name from a dance particularly associated with the county of Dorset where we were based. However, the fact that dances with this name can be found throughout the Celtic world and beyond was intended to reflect our interest in traditional music in a much broader sense. The four hands of our duo played tunes and songs from England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Brittany, Galicia, North America, French Canada, Sweden, and eastern Europe, as well as several new compositions of our own.
The tunes included on this site are taken from our eleven-track album, "Woven", which we released a few years ago.
