Cosmic Granola is a roots rock band from Thunder Bay Ontario
consisting of main members Nate Zahn on vocals and guitar, Peter
Bastedo on bass, and Tylor Miller on drums. Over the years Cosmic
Granola has grown to become a collective of musicians with as many as
7 people on stage, incorporating violin, harmonies, and percussion
making for fresh and diverse shows.
Nate Zahn fronts the band and composes the majority of the music,
including the award- winning “Downtown Cafe” and Thunder Bay
Songwriter finalists “Digging Deep” and “All Good Now”.
It’s hard to pigeon-hole the band’s sound with Delta Blues, Alt
Country, Disco, and Funk appearing in the same set and, at times, the
same song. The Cosmic sound encourages movement and most shows end
with the crowd sweating and dancing.
Though the band is independent with no label or booking agent, Cosmic
Granola has gained a cult following in Ontario and various regions
around Canada. Their latest album, “An Onion’s Layers” has charted
across the country and has been featured on CBC radio and Northern
Rocks Magazine.
