Following the departure of lead singer/co-songwriter Jamie Greer (The Vaudevillianaires, Magic Hall of Mirrors) , the remaining members of one of Windsor's most notorious alt country/rockabilly outfits, The Hung Jury, knew that they just couldn't walk away from the chemistry that had formed between them. FOURLETTERWORD is in some ways a continuation of the spirited rockabilly of the Jury, but with some new ideas and directions blossoming. Jury co-founder/songwriter Kelly Nicholls has laid out some new and very diverse material, as well as taking over the job of lead vocals. Erik Myskow (The Eric Welton Band, The Avenue Pawnbrokers) and C-bass Laracque (Pitch Union, Destroy Thy Will, The Jet Trio) are sharing the lead guitar and bass duties, as they are both super talented at both positions. Rounding out the line up is veteran drummer Bradford Helner (Huladog, Twistin' Tarantulas, The Milkmen) who has added the balls to some great songs.
FOURLETTERWORD is currently rounding out its set of originals (along with a few fav cover songs) and all members are contributing great ideas to the process (the C-bass composed 'Die Tired' is sure to be a fan favourite). FOURLETTERWORD is about to enter Sharktank studios to record a track for the 'In The Tank' compilation produced by veteran producer Mark Planke. The track is called 'The Put On' and was written by Nicholls awhile ago and sat dormant until some cool melodic ideas poured out of Bradford.
FOURLETTERWORD makes their official debut on October 30, 2009 at the FM Lounge opening for the macabaret of The Vaudevillianaires.
