July 2, 2008 - Heading to Savannah, GA for a couple of weeks!!
I've been cast in one of the lead roles in Warped Wing Productions' Civil War drama, "Astray". Helmed by Brandon Osterman, the 35mm film begins principal photography on July 5th.
Brandon's team is made up of a crew of "Who's Who" in the industry.
Just wait until you see what happens in this one!! This character is awesome and the story is going to be extremely fun to bring to life!!
June 17 thru July 1, 2008 - Two weeks of filming the docu-drama "The People vs Leo Frank". I'm portraying Boots Rogers in this re-telling of the facts surrounding the Mary Phagan murder of 1913. What an experience it is to be a part of a story I've heard so much about as a kid growing up in Marietta!
The film is being helmed by acclaimed documentary filmmaker, Ben Loeterman. His staff and crew are tremendous!
The cast is made up of a Who's Who of superb Atlanta talent and the role of Leo Frank was exquisitely portrayed by Will Janowitz (Finn Detrolio of "The Sopranos").
Stay tuned for release dates and broadcast information!!
Just wrapped my first episode of "Army Wives" in Charleston, SC!!
My character's name is Major Bryce Ogden and I've been introduced in the war in Iraq as a friend of Major Frank Sherwood (played by Terry Serpico).
And it was heaven!! This episode was directed by the incredible Joanna Kerns!! How awesome it is to work with directors who truly understand how to tell a story!!
Stay tuned. This episode is scheduled to air on Lifetime on July 6th, 2008!!
I recently wrapped production on Tyler Perry's upcoming feature film, "The Family that Preys"! The film will be released nationally in theatres on September 12, 2008.
It was an honor to work with Kathy Bates, Rockmond Dunbar, Tyler Perry, Alfre Woodard, Robin Givens, Sanaa Lathan, Jennifer Hudson, and...
FINALLY...I'm actually IN a movie with Andrew Masset!
And, of course, huge congratulations to fellow Atlanta castmates Michelle Keller, Eric Goins, Jason McDonald, Ron Clinton Smith, and Kaira Whitehead!
Please check out "Break My Plans", the music video posted above. This is Judd Brannon's powerful translation of the passionate story of Nicolae Moldoveanu, a Romanian hymnist wrongly imprisoned in 1959.
The video is based on the inspiring song by the incredibly talented Christian group THIS HOPE.
I will always be extremely proud of this project!

COMING SOON from the PRODUCERS of "My Christmas Soldier":
I am currently directing "Horseman in the Sky", Mauriel Joslyn's adaptation of the popular Ambrose Bierce short story.
Our incredible cast includes Andrew Masset (Larry Welch from NBC's "Days of Our Lives"), Brian Beegle ("We are Marshall"), David Goodnow (long-running front man for CNN's Headline News) and Atiba Mwangi ("My Christmas Soldier").
With all due respect to past projects, this is the best cast and crew I have ever had the privilege to work with. Based on mid-production results, let's just say that expectations are HIGH...
Our film took top honors for BEST FAMILY FILM at the fourth annual Secret City Film Festival in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. And, as if that were not enough, we also won the Southern Lens Broadcast Award...which means we will be broadcast on South Carolina Public Television during the month of December!!
As always, CONGRATULATIONS to our incredible cast and crew and to all of you who have genuinely supported us from the beginning!!
I'm a helpless romantic. In regards to television and film, I had a childhood like Martin Tupper's...totally obsessed with both mediums, while actually analyzing the power they have to influence the way we perceive life.
Give me a true black-and-white classic in exchange for 99% of the options we are given today.
How did Astray go? That sounded funny, didn't it? I was chosen for a role, but had to turn it down. Now I'm sorry I did! Hope all is well in your "camp."
I saw you on TV! Nice boots. :) I actually got it on in the middle of it all, but will want to come see Cotton Patch Gospel if we can work it out. (we are in Ireland the first week in October) Also went to the website to check it out. Very cool.
