Making a difference
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has. "
--Margaret Mead
Success Stories
We are the Foxboro Jaycees. Since our creation, there have been over 750 individuals who've dedicated time and energy empowering the Foxboro Jaycees to succeed.
Donations and Helping the Community
The Foxboro Jaycees donate money to over 26 different charities, needy individuals, athletes and human service organizations. We donate thousands (thousands!) of dollars to the Foxboro Discretionary Fund, Fireworks committee, Foxboro High School college bound seniors, South Foxboro Community Club and various sports leagues in Foxboro.
Around Foxboro, we are also actively involved helping other worthwhile causes, such as the Cable Auction to benefit the Doolittle Home, Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk, Foxboro Human Services, the William Palladino Memorial Scholarship Foundation Community Spelling Bee, Foxboro Council on Aging, Boyden Library, Relay for Life, Rodman Ride for kids, Junior Chamber Family AIDS Network, and much more.
We built the Foxboro Common Bandstand and refurbish it. We led the drive to build the Bill Hyland Memorial Rink. We coordinated and built the Payson Road Playground.

About the Jaycees
(taken from the US Junior Chamber website)
The United States Junior Chamber (Jaycees) gives young people between the ages of 18 and 40 the tools they need to build the bridges of success for themselves in the areas of business development, management skills, individual training, community service, and international connections. The U.S. Junior Chamber is a non-profit corporation/organization as described under IRS code 501.
Established in 1920 to provide opportunities for young men to develop personal and leadership skills through service to others, the Jaycees later expanded to include women, reflecting the growing influence and leadership of women in America.
For the past 86 years, Jaycees have been a force for good in America and around the world. Jaycees helped establish AirMail services in America with Jaycee Charles Lindbergh, and have raised millions of dollars for causes such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the March of Dimes. They have built parks, playgrounds, hospitals, ball fields, and housing for the elderly while conducting service and support programs in thousands of communities nationwide.
Jaycees can be found in all walks of life: governmental leaders such as past Presidents Bill Clinton and Gerald Ford, business tycoons such as Domino’s Pizza mogul Tom Monaghan, registered nurse and former Miss America Kaye Lani Rae Rafko-Wilson, sports heroes like basketball great Larry Bird – name the field and Jaycees can be found at the forefront.
With the focus of the nation on volunteerism, from the smallest towns to the largest cities, the Jaycees are enlarging areas of opportunity for young people.
The US Jaycees Mission
"This Corporation shall be a non-profit corporation, organized for such educational and charitable purposes as
will promote and foster the growth and development of young persons' civic organizations in the United States,
designed to inculcate in the individual membership of such organization a spirit of genuine American patriotism
and civic interest, and as a supplementary education institution to provide them with opportunity for personal
development and achievement and an avenue for intelligent participation by young persons in the affairs of their
community, state and nation, and to develop true friendship and understanding among young persons of all
nations."
