Message from the Hopi Elders, the Oldest Native American Nation.
We have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour.
Now you must go back and tell the people that this is the Hour and there are things to be considered.
Where are you living?
What are you doing?
What are your relationships?
Are you in the right relation?
Where is your water?
Know your garden.
It is time to speak your truth.
Create your community.
Be good to each other.
And do not look outside yourself for the leader.
This could be a good time!
There is a river flowing now very fast.
It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid.
They will try to hold onto the shore.
They will feel they are being torn apart and they will suffer greatly.
Know the river has its destination.
The elders say we must let go of the shore, and push off and into the river,
Keep our eyes open, and our head above the water.
See who is in there with you and Celebrate. At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally.
Least of all ourselves.
For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.
The time of the lone wolf is over,
Gather yourselves!
Banish the word struggle from your attitude and your vocabulary.
All that you do now must be done in a sacred manner
And in celebration.
"We are the ones we've been waiting for..." The Elders, Hopi Nation, Oraibi, Arizona

Foxfire (bioluminescence)
Foxfire on a piece of rotting wood.
Foxfire is the term for the bioluminescence
created in the right conditions by a few
species of fungi that decay wood. The luminescence
is often attributed to members of the genus Armillaria,
the Honey mushroom, though others are reported,
and as many as 40 individual species have been
identified. On the suggestion of Benjamin Franklin
it was used for light in the Turtle, an early submarine.
In the novel The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, the characters of Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer use foxfire as a source of light in order
"...It was a voluptuous scene, that masquerade. But first let me tell of the rooms in which it was held. There were seven — an imperial suite........The seventh apartment was closely shrouded in black velvet tapestries that hung all over the ceiling and down the walls, falling in heavy folds upon a carpet of the same material and hue. But in this chamber only, the color of the windows failed to correspond with the decorations. The panes here were scarlet — a deep blood color. There was no light of any kind emanating from lamp or candle within the suite of chambers. But in the corridors that followed the suite, there stood, opposite to each window, a heavy tripod, bearing a brazier of fire, that projected its rays through the tinted glass and so glaringly illumined the room. And thus were produced a multitude of gaudy and fantastic appearances...." This is the beginning description, the overtone, for the mood Edgar Allen Poe sets up for the impending doom of the party goers in the castle who were celebrating amidst a time of great suffering to many people due to the black plague in his piece "The Masque of the Red Death". I shall continue the tale tomorrow but for now I set the stage.....*VvvV*
~If you never remember anything else of me, remember there has never been any other figure in americana culture I love more than Jim Morrison of The Doors. In honor of my departed kindred soul, we will love you forever....~
I have found the song with the lyrics below greatly inspiring recently to a giant wake up call to shake off all remnants of the "victim mentality" in my life. Thought I'd give my friends on here in a myspace a glimpse of where my wacky mindset is these days. xoxo ;0) ........ Lyrics to "Sound of Madness" by Shinedown "Yeah, I get it, you're an outcast Always under attack, always coming in last Bringing up the past, no one owes you anything I think, you need a shotgun blast, a kick in the ass So paranoid, better watch your back!!
Oh my, here we go
Another loose cannon gone bi-polar Slipped down, couldn't get much lower Quicksand's got no sense of humor I'm still laughing like hell
You think that by crying to me Looking so sorry that I'm gonna believe You've been infected by a social disease Well then, take your medicine!!
(Chorus) I created the sound of madness, wrote the book on pain Somehow I'm still here to explain That the darkest hour never comes in the night You can sleep with a gun But when you gonna wake up and fight...for yourself?!
I'm so sick of this tombstone mentality If there's an afterlife then it'll set you free But I'm not gonna part the seas You're a self-fulfilling prophecy
(repeats th
Tequila and Salt This should probably be taped to your bathroom mirror where one could read it every day. You may not realize it , but it's 100% true. 1. There are at least two people in this world that you would die for. 2.. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way. 3.. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you. 4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone , even if they don't like you. 5. Every night , SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep. 6. You mean the world to someone. 7. You are special and unique. 8. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you. 9. When you make the biggest mistake ever , something good comes from it. 10. When you think the world has turned its back on you take another look. 11. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks. So............ If you are a loving friend , send this to everyone , including the one that sent it to you. If you get it back , then they really do love you. And always remember.... when life hands you Lemons , ask for Tequila and Salt and call me over! Good friends are like stars........ You don't always see them , But you know they are always there.
