About me:

Gretchen Carlson is an anchor and co-host of FOX News Channel's signature morning program "FOX & Friends." Carlson and co-hosts Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade have led "FOX & Friends" to remarkable ratings success as the No. 1 morning program on cable news for more than seven years.

Most recently Carlson interviewed first lady Laura Bush live in St. Paul from the Republican National Convention. Carlson also provided live coverage of the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

Prior to joining FNC in June 2005, Carlson worked at CBS News where she served as a correspondent and co-anchored the "CBS Saturday Early Show." Before her tenure at CBS, Carlson served as an anchor/reporter for KXAS-TV (NBC) in Dallas, WOIO-TV (NBC) in Cleveland and WCPO-TV (ABC) in Cincinnati. She began her television career in Richmond, Va., as a political reporter for WRIC-TV (ABC). In 1989, before starting her television career, she was the first classical violinist to be crowned Miss America.

Carlson's community contributions include being a national celebrity spokes person for the March of Dimes, in addition to being a staunch advocate of the arts.
