Fox Opera is a band of three. We like to rock... roll, even. Our music is sometimes catchy, sometimes incoherent, sometimes soft, sometimes loud. Cait has stagefright, Noah brings the polyrhythms and Keith only listens to jazz.

This is what some very nice people have said about us:
"Fox Opera kill (each other) live: Noah Rabinovitch (drums) and Caitlin Copeland (guitar/vox) spend most of their stage time trying to mess each other up (as opposed to most bands, who do all they can to keep it together), while bassist Keith Rodger soldiers on, seemingly oblivious to the war of attrition happening around him. As a result, this indie power-trio make compelling music that is even more compelling to watch." - Sled Island 2009 Preview
"They are the aural equivalent of animal fries; a delicious mish-mash of styles all playing off of each other." - Harvey Hinton for Aurgasmicalgary, 13 March 2009
"... one of the most interesting bands in the local scene..." - Alvy Singer for FFWD Magazine, 10 January 2008
"...an energetic four-piece with a knack for combining off-kilter art-rock with up-tempo Afro-beat guitar sounds." - Jesse Locke for The Calgary Sun, 28 December 2007
"... an exciting new set of voices in Calgary music." - Mark Hamilton for Swerve Magazine, 7 December 2007
"Fox Opera's muse leads them from pretty acoustic folk jams to energetic indie rock, all pulled off with intriguing style..." - Mark Hamilton for Sled Island '07 Preview

I officially saw the best Fox Opera performance ever last night. To bad I spent most of the time in the audience. You can't change the past, only regret it. You can't change the past, only regret it. You can't change the past, only regret it. You can't change the past, only regret it. Lalalala.
That would be an improvement, though euthanasia would surely be the most humane option after suffering damage that severe. Caught in the snare of the rock n' roll lifestyle, it would make for a tragic end to a sterling musical career, but then, it would also make for a lovely scarf...
Fox Opera are pretty sweet. You guys put a lot of sweat and tears into your act, but you don't bleed enough. I saw you guys last night and that girl only played it til her fingers were gently chaffed. It was like when I went to see Social Distortion and they didn't play Story of my Life. I'm not asking for my money back, but please remedy this in the future.
