FOXY'S RUTS came about through BUSTER BLOODVESSEL asking paul fox to put a band together to play at BADFEST in 2006.first of all paul recruited his eldest son LAWRENCE FOX on drums and he actually plays dave ruffy's original gretsch drum kit with the band.then an old friend who runs CLUB SKA and long time RUTS fan GENO BLUE was brought in on bass.now all that was required was someone with personality and big bollox to front the band. paul had heard of a RUTS tribute band in yorkshire called SAVAGE CIRCLE. he decided to check them out and that's where he found the great manic talents of mr.MARK PAUL. now with a band ready for the road they did a couple of warm up gigs then onto badfest,which was a roaring success.[james whale who compared the show said that the band stole the show].after such a great start the band were then asked to tour with BAD MANNERS on their christmas tour of the uk and europe.the tour was a great success with the highlight being the MELKWEG in amsterdam.recent gigs also include PUNK and DISORDERLY festival in berlin. FOXY'S RUTs play all the original RUTS favourite tracks and are currently writing new tracks.recently interviewed by ROLAND RIVRON at the hope and anchor festival paul was asked,is this a tribute band with which the answer was NO. FOXY'S RUTS are here for the original RUTS fans and for the younger generation to also hear some of the best late 70's early 80's music there ever was.but there is new stuff coming.keep yer eyes open for more gigs and new tracks.

this gig is a charity event with all proceeds going to michael sobell house where foxy was very well looked after in his final days. it is free to get in and donations will be taken at the door. there will be live bands including the dirty strangers,foxy's savage circle of friends including his son lawrence on drums and dubcats,foxy's final band,will be closing the show. there will also be footage of foxy live being shown on a big screen. also available will be a special cd produced by phatsemelia of tracks foxy recorded at phats studio in the last 3 years of his life including dubcats and more.very limited edition. club ska sound system will also be spinning tunes all night.
