MySpace a place for friends

The band was founded in 1996 by Andreas Lehmann (Vocals, Music, Lyrics) and Sigmund Droese (Music, Vovals). Both worked togethter in two other projects before.

Framework set great value upon playing live from the beginning and the feedback was positive. First success was a third place at the “Open Music 96” competition.

With the Release of the first CD-EP „Hand on the Trigger” the band earned postive reactions. In 1999 two songs were released on the “chipyard 99” sampler of the Rostock based label Wycombemusic.

In the year 2000 Daniel Konrad (Music, Vocals) joined Framework and completed the actual line-up.

More highlights were the performances at the „Steel-Affair 2000“ Festival with acts like Funker Vogt, In Strict Confidence, E-Craft, Digital Factor and Ravenous and a performance 2001 at the Depeche Mode Party in the MAU-Club Rostock.

In the same year Framework were signed by german label Scanner. Product of this collaboration was the debut album “Reflections” which was released in April 2002.

Individuality and creativity characterize the typical Framework sound, which combines traditional EBM music with different other styles of electronic music and therefore breath new life into the scene.
