About me:

Welcome!

We've got an all new show coming up for Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2008!

FRAN AND ROXANNE - ROOM FOR RENT

It's not a musical...honest.

Directed by Ged Cogley and written and performed by comedian Lou Pardi and musical theatre sweetheart Jacky Claff, together with supporting cast Liam McIntyre and Anthony Dillon, Fran and Roxanne return in a hilarious and touching sequel to their MICF 2006 show Fran and Roxanne are Best Friends.

Fran and Roxanne are living together! Will the best-friendship survive? Or will a handsome new flatmate and a mysterious tradesman summon the dastardly musical end?

Comedian Lou Pardi and musical theatre sweetheart Jacky Claff (Fran and Roxanne are best friends) return together with special guests Liam McIntyre and Anthony Dillon.

Comedic drama, cleaning rosters, girl fights and singing, but it's not a musical… honest.

Don’t miss all new songs:
“I wanna dream”
“Where is my telephone booth?”
“Like a chair on the foot”
and more! Lovingly created by the fabulous Niamh Parkinson.

“Brialliantly absurd... Fantastic original songs.” The Groggy Squirrel

“Talented performers.” The Funny Tonne

All those details...

Fran and Roxanne and Food - a perfect match

Check out this scrumptious menu at the home of the notorious scantily clad portrait of Chloe, at Young & Jackson.

Roxanne: Food! And a naked lady!
Fran: Together at last.
Roxanne: So when’s dinner?
Fran: There are sittings at 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.30pm. The good folk at Chloe’s have it all set up to get us fed in an hour and off to the show!
Roxanne: Genius. Hey! What sound does a Gorgonzola make?
Fran: It’s a cheese.
Roxanne: I knew that.

~~$35 Young and Jackson dinner and show menu~~

250gm Rump Steak topped with Mushroom Kilpatrick, served with Creamy Potato Mash, Green Beans and Red Wine Jus

Rice Crusted Breast of Chicken, baked and served with Stir-Fried Asian Vegetables, with a sweet soy, ginger and chilli glaze

House-Made Potato Gnocchi with a Gorgonzola Cream Sauce, fresh peas, parsley and pine-nuts

Pan-Fried Fillet of Salmon on warm kipfler potato salad, with sauté of green beans and cherry tomatoes

---
Coffee and Chocolate Truffle
---
Scotchman’s Hill ‘The Hill’ Cabernet Sauvignon/Chardonnay
or
Small tap beer of your choice
or
Soft drink

---
Dinner and show tickets need to be booked through Young & Jackson directly on 9650 3884. If you already have a Ticketmaster ticket sadly we can’t turn in into a meal and show (we’re comedians not magicians). But you can turn up at Chloe’s any old time if you want to check out the usual menu (scrumptious). Try the veal!

Oh well... you see... the funny thing is... I kind of married Elle McPherson since we last talked. So yeah... But just say the word and she's gone, out of my life for good. I swear it.

Ok, some things to keep in mind. I have since changed my name to Ritchie DeVille, I have cut my beautiful curly locks into a modern Jovi-esque do (and am kicking myself every day for doing it) and finally... Ok, I'll level with you. I'm not a big star from the 80's. Actually, I was only three when the 80's finished. I'm a 20 year old IT student with a 4-track who just moved out of mum's house. I hope you can forgive this deception. I thought it was the only way to get you to love me. :(

Guy: Watch out for the swearing at the end though...it's quite a doozy.

Fran and Roxanne are Best Friends
review by Erin Davidson, 20th Apr 2006
This is a show for every girl that's ever been... a girl. Make a night out of it, take your own best friends along and relax on the couches at Purple Emerald, drink in hand, and be treated to the vocal stylings of these two talented performers. You'll laugh because the characters probably remind you of somebody you know, maybe even yourself.
My Rating: 7 / 10

Review by a myspacer!! http://www.myspace.com/darrenc

Well last night I went to see the one (well two) and only Fran and Roxanne (Lou and Jacky).
With only a small crowd in last nite, that didn't spoil the mood at all of the show. Fran a modest, down to earth yet realistic character works well with Roxanne a whacky-zaney, NQR girl. The actions and scwabbles between the two friends relates to everyone in a way, as there is some trait displayed in the performance that we all have in at least one of our friends.
An honest assessment of the show is, that it's not an hour of slide splitting laughs. I was not expecting this either. It's a genuinely enjoyable theatre style show with some great wise cracks, general giggles, wicked puns and facial expressions that could kill through out. Value for money? It comes out ontop easily.
