Hi Frances, very much enjoyed your gig on Friday :) It was a particular pleasure to hear "O pato" performed live, prior to the gig we were rather concerned at the omission of João in your list of Influences. I guess he is so intrinsincly linked with Bossa, you don't need to call him out specifically. Like a Christian band not listing "God" as an influence :)

Ah, well, you see: the moving image was put there by a very old friend who had gotten hold of a fairly silly promo video that my then band had done in 1993 (and who took it on himself to create several myspace sites at once, one of them being for my old band "me" [www. myspace. com/mefertile - q.v.]). The guilty video includes me "emerging" from the waters of Blagdon Lake (!) Very conceptual, I'm sure. My only defence is that it was done for me, not by me, and I'm too vain/lazy to amend it. Thanks for being my friend.
