The daughter of a Mexican /American (Tex-Mex) Mother and Italian/American Father, Soulful and powerful Francesca puts her whole heart into her singing style! Born and raised in the Great Lone Star State of Texas, Francesca was exposed to some great Country, Folk, Blues, Soul and Rock Music. Performing since the age of 2, when her mother put her in Ballet classes, she has made the stage her home from an early age. At age 11, Francesca's father was transfered to San Juan Puerto Rico from San Antonio, Texas. It was in Puerto Rico where she did her first T.V. Commercial and Studio Recordings, as well as LIVE gigs. Upon graduating High School in Houston Texas, Fran moved to Los Angeles where she hit the club scen looking for gigs. Sometimes BEGGING to sit in, it wasn't long before she landed a gig singing Background vocals for Sixties Motown Artist, Bobby Talyor (from Bobby Taylor and The Vancouvers) at the World Famous CINE GRILL at The Holly Roossevelt Hotel in Hollywood every Wed. nite. Shortly there after she began getting the attention of A&R Reps. In the early '90's Randy Jackson (of American Idol) who was then the V.P. of A&R at Sony/CBS signed Francesca to a development deal. When this deal did not work out, Francesca landed a deal with BMG Ariola in Munich Germany. When this deal did not work out, the determined singer came back to the US and formed her Blues Rock Band "FRANCESCA AND THE FLAMES". Listen for Francesca singing the Jingles on several International T.V. Commercials for MATTEL'S new "UNO" games. Composed and produced by Nard Berings at FRESH BEAT STUDIO in Venice, California. Francesca's voice was recently heard on the FOX comedy TV SHOW "TALK SHOW WITH SPIKE FERESTEN" as the sound -a- like voice of Patti Labelle for the "Patti Labelle sings about her other ailments "segment which was produced by Stevie Salas and Nard Berings. In Jan. 2009 Francesca was seen on the hit T.V. Show NCIS, as an Inmate at a Women's Prison in the season premiere episode "CAGED". Fran and the Fellas have recently opened up for: The Johnny Winter Band, ASIA, and on Feb. 6, '09 will open up for "The Little River Band". The band also had the pleasure in the fall of 2008, of recording with Grammy Award winning Producer/Drummer, Tony Braunagel. You can also find Francesca singing background vocals for BRANSCOMBE RICHMOND & THE RENEGADE POSSE a fun 10 piece Classic/Rock Band featuring Actor/Singer/Entertainer Branscombe Richmond. In the past Francesca Rocked Los Angeles, with her band FRANCESCA AND THE FLAMES, they recorded the 7 song CD "Rebel Chile" at the World Famous Cherokee Studios in Hollywood with Studio Owners /Producers/Engineers and Grammy award winning brother team The Robb Brothers. The CD and the powerful unit garnished many raving reviews including an LA Music Award nomination. As well as The Music Connection's Top 100 Best un-signed artists, several years in a row. The Flames -Doug Montieth- Guitar, Johnny Zell- Bass, Chris Cotton -Drums and Gus Stone Keyboards. She has also worked with legendary drummer Carmine Appice with his project CARMINE APPICE AND FRIENDS including Jimmy Haslip, Steve Fister, Hans Zermulen and Vail Johnson. Francesca's powerful voice can be heard on the house-dance track BEEN TO THE MOUNTAIN released by New York's Centaur Entertainment PRIDE 2000 CD . She's in good company with Aretha Franklin, Martha Wash and Hannah Jones. Kings, House of Blues, The Hard Rock Cafe' , The Kings Palace in Mempis TN. The Paradisio in Amsterdam, The Herritage Festival in Sacramento, The Rainbow Festival,The Palms Hotel and Casino in Laughlin, Nevada,The Key Club, in Hollywood, The Cat Club, in Hollywood, The Black Oak Casino, The Paelo Festival, Nyon Switzerland, The Irvine Lake Blues Festival, Divas Do The Blues, Los Angeles,Women In Blues,Blues Stock, Memphis TN, EAT'M Festival, Las Vegas, Nevada.
