Francesca is about to take the music industry by storm with her new interpretation of Pop music . She is a talented artist and performer with universal appeal and will not slow down until she is an international star.
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Francesca began performing at the age of three. She started by imitating the dance moves of Michael Jackson and singing songs by Madonna, Tina Turner and Aretha Franklin. Francesca’s professional career in music began when she was 14 years old as the lead vocalist in her father’s cover band called Flash Back. Soon after she started singing in the band, an executive producer named Buddha (rest in peace), who was working with a major Latin record label at the time, recognized Francesca’s talent and immediately wanted to sign her as a Spanish solo artist. Francesca never accepted an offer though because her heart was set on singing English Pop and Hip Hop.
It was not easy to be an aspiring English singer living on a Spanish speaking island, so when Francesca was 17 years old, she escaped to compete in Miami among 20,000 contestants for American Idol Season 2. She was fortunate to proceed to Hollywood in the top 20 from Miami. A few obstacles kept her from performing after American Idol, but then she left Puerto Rico again to reach her dreams. She flew to New York to audition for P Diddy’s Making The Band 3 where she became an integral part of the show and was a finalist. At the end, P Diddy said that there was no band to be made out of the final group of girls, which drove she even harder and made her realize that she was meant to be a solo artist.
After Making the Band 3, She worked with the best vocal coaches and choreographers in Los Angeles to enhance her singing and dance moves, which have become Francesca’s signature. Her on-camera and onstage presence is unmatched. The combination of her energy and Latin sex appeal triggered a Los Angeles based independent television production company to shoot a pilot for a reality show based on a day in the life of Francesca and reaching her dreams, which is currently being pitched to all of the major television networks. Since Making the Band 3, she has also recorded with various prominent producers and songwriters who have worked with the likes of Britney Spears, Lil Wayne, Danity Kane, Fat Joe and Beyonce to name a few. All of them support Francesca’s project 100% and believe that she will be the next big music star.
Francesca has been given offers from a few major record labels, but her management team decided instead to build Francesca up even more in the public eye so that she could get the deal that she deserves. To accomplish that goal,Francesca recently positioned as the lead singer of the new Pussycat doll Lounge wich is slated to have its premier show in september , 2008,while she also continues to work in the recording studio on her solo album proyect.
It is heartening to Francesca to feel the support of all people, not just Latinos. Her goal is to continue bringing people together with her music, which excites fans even more as they watch her dance. Francesca will bring us all together!
