Nato a Sassari il 12 giugno 1981, autodidatta, è considerato uno dei nuovi talenti della chitarra blues in Italia. La sua è una continua crescita e ricerca musicale, dai progetti prettamente elettrici sino al blues in chiave acustica.Dopo la vittoria nel 2003 del concorso “Blues From Sardinia” al Narcao Blues Festival con la sua band Blujuice, per Francesco si aprono nuove vie, nuove grandi esperienze, tra le quali è indelebile nel 2004 l’apertura dello show del mitico John Mayall, il padre del Blues Inglese, sempre a Narcao. E’ proprio dal 2004 che Francesco si presenta nella veste che predilige, solista di blues acustico nella formula One Man Band. In club e teatri propone un repertorio che spazia dai classici di Robert Johnson al blues moderno di Keb’ Mo’ e Robben Ford, dallo swing di Horace Silver alla rivisitazione in chiave nera di brani firmati Neil Young e Jimi Hendrix, fino a brani originali la cui matrice è frutto dell’unione dei diversi stili sui quali egli si è evoluto, accompagnando la sua voce con chitarra acustica, dobro, armonica, banjo, lap steel, weissenborn, kazoo e in alcuni brani con un campionatore che in tempo reale registra e riproduce ciò che suona.
Il suo progetto in chiave acustica parte dal rispetto per la tradizione del Delta Blues e si evolve in maniera molto personale in diversi ambiti della musica afroamericana, con l'ambizione di miscelare le origini del blues con la modernità ed il ritmo delle varie espressioni swing, soul, rock e funky, atmosfere che si respirano nell’album d’esordio “Blues Journey” prodotto da Groove Company e presentato nel luglio 2007.
Sono diversi i festivals che negli anni vedono il bluesman sardo protagonista. Ricordiamo, tra i più prestigiosi:

E’ su questi importanti palcoscenici che Francesco apre concerti per artisti di fama mondiale del calibro di John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, Charlie Musselwhite, The Derek Trucks Band, Joe Louis Walker, Joe Bonamassa, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Otis Grand, Dirk Hamilton, Junior Watson, John Nemeth Band, Keith B.Brown, Roy Young, Albie Donnelly, Ana Popovic, Bernard Allison, Ponty Bone, Blues Caravan, e duetta con artisti quali Guy Davis, Otis Grand, Sugar Blue, London Community Gospel Choir, Nerak Roth Patterson, Ptah Brown, Fabio Treves, Ponty Bone, Erja Lyytinen, Kasey Landsale, Sarah Lee Guthrie, Johnny Irion e Grayson Capps.
Dall' ottobre del 2007 Francesco è chitarrista nella band del cantautore Davide Van De Sfroos col quale ha calcato palchi di assoluto prestigio, su tutti il Forum di Assago il 19 Aprile del 2008 (sold out!), il Festival Gaber a Viareggio, il Magic Blues Festival a Vallemaggia (Svizzera), il Premio Tenco al Teatro Ariston di Sanremo (novembre 2008) e l'Auditorium Parco Della Musica di Roma (maggio 2009).

Born in Sassari on june 12, 1981, he’ s considered one of the new blues guitar talents in Italy. His musical research and his growing goes from the electric to the acoustic blues. After the success at the Narcao Blues Festival contest “Blues From Sardinia” with his band Blujuice, new doors and new musical experiences are opened for Francesco, like when he opened the John Mayall’s show in Narcao on 2004.
Beyond the electric blues projects, from 2004 Francesco appeared in acoustic version like One Man Band, his preferred musical way. In clubs and theatres he plays a repertory that goes from Robert Johnson to Keb’ Mo’ and Robben Ford, from Horace Silver’s swing to personal blues version of Neil Young and Jimi Hendrix songs, until his own compositions that mixed the styles of his musical evolution, singing and playing acoustic guitar, dobro, harp, banjo, lap steel, weissenborn, kazoo and, for some arrangements, playing with the help of a loop station. His acoustic project starts from the respect of Delta Blues tradition and evolve to a mix of traditional blues, swing, soul, rock and funky, atmospheres that we can breathe in Francesco’s first album “Blues Journey”, produced by Groove Company and presented on July 2007.
