Yo 'Chise .... a thousand pardons for the supreme lack of contact.
We won't be able to make your show unfortunately. A couple of us are booked with other projects that weekend.
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you but, personally, I got sick and I guess nobody else is checking our page. Bummer, man. So very sorry for that.
Thanks so much for even considering us. Would have been cool to see you off with a funky farewell but, hopefully, we can play the show honoring your triumphant return!!!
Have no clue how you went from a Modesta to a San Diego destination in such a short amount of time but I'm sure you'll be taking your usual flava with you, whichever direction you're heading ultimately ... so we know you'll do just fine.
BTW, I was, absolutely only joking about White Feather being the cause for the JT Schmids Open Mic shutdown ... who on Earth would ever complain about their amazingly peaceful sound??? They're homies of LLJ for life!
Well, take care brutha and let us know when you're going to be back in town strumming your 6 strings earnestly.
What's goin on man...your party sounds like its gonna be good times.. Ill check w/ the fellas and see if we got anything goin on that day.. Ill let u know later on today... Thanx for keepin us in mind.. RESPECT
First off ... thanks for keeping us in the exclusive Franchise Exclusive Information loop.
Being a Nor-Cal-ian seems like an interesting enough change so we hope it works out for you. Maybe there will be some slamming open mic nights up yonder in your future.
Also, thanks for thinking of us regarding your show at the Dawghouse. We haven't been checking our myspace lately because we're all wrapped up in the original composition process (looking forward to getting enough tunes down before selecting which ones to record). But, I'll talk to the rest of the LLJ Posse and get back to you with an answer. That is, unless you've already booked another act.
Lastly, that's a bummer they canceled the JT Schmid's Open Mic night. We liked it there quite a bit. It was definitely a good ride while it lasted. Was it just a seasonal ending or did the owner just get fed up with all the noise we were pumping out? I blame White Feather!
Well, regarding a review of LLJ for your blog ... thanks again for considering us. Read a couple of your other reviews and was impressed with your journalistic skillz. We'll try to get another performance to invite you out to (they've been hard to come by with all our energies pointed towards a forthcoming EP and what not) but don't know if that's a sure thing or not. It will remain a hopeful thing. Maybe you can catch us again at the show you're putting on? Either way, we can always give you a copy of our recorded stuff whence it is produced.
Again, I'll get back at you as soon as I get a definitive on your November Dawghouse date.
thanks for getting back to me. Miss you buddy, miss the small band we have. But yea hook me up and we will get together. I saw kevin a few weeks back. love you much :)
Thanks for the kind words and for the good word on the studio hook up. Fortunately, we are blessed to have our own studio so no troubles for us in that regard ... for us the challenge is material to record ... but we're working our glutes off to get it done.
Sorry we missed your set last Wednesday ... got too late a start. Hopefully, we'll catch you again soon.
What up 'Chise? Hope things are well. First things first ... thanks for sending us the link to your video. We dig that you're such a go-getter. Keep on mixing that enthusiasm with ample hard work on all aspects music and you'll see the results in the faces of the folks listening. So keep at it!
Secondly ... that MONSTER tune you heard us play (100 Days/100 Nights) is not ... I repeat, "is NOT" a low low original. It was composed and perfected by an amazing band from Detroit named "Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings". So, for the inspiration to that tune, we must send you to the source themselves:
The good news is that we are currently crafting an arsenal of LLJ originals so stay tuned and, hopefully, you will be able to find a smaller yet similar brand of inspiration therein. See you soon.
We're kicking off our tour with two shows in the LA area including this sick ass lineup at Di Piazzas in Long Beach Thursday.. its All Ages and will sellout most likely so get there early!!!! Pick up our new album on Itunes today also!
