To: whom it may concern,
Its hard to say where we are from really. We arent really sure where we are from. Sometimes it feels like Ma, sometimes it feels like Ct. Sometimes it feels like a different country all together. We find picking a cetral location difficult sometimes, being that we are spread out between states. We do know where we came from though. We do know the people we love, and those who love us. We do know where we want to be going, and where we hope we can say we are from one day.
The most important thing to us at the current conjuncture being Josh, Kayoum, Robert, and Eric is that we are moving forward. That we are in a state of constant progression. We hope people are moving forward with us as well. One day we may have kids and a wife. One day we may just be fathers and husbands and guys who like to sit around Sunday and watch football. But as for now we are a group of friends who like to play music together and do it as often as we can. We like to play live shows to receptive people and to unreceptive ones. For us its not just about you saying you like us, but about how you say you hate us if you do. If you dont like our music thats cool we would rather an opinion than indifference.
We started playing music together in 2004 and its a while later and we think to ourselves are we still as pessimistic as we used to be. We would like to think not. We would like to think we are more open minded not only as musicians but as people as well. If you feel like talking to us is intimidating please do not fret. Come up to us and talk to us, we like to talk. We are most likely more timid than anyone reading this could ever be. Well, thats not true. But you know what we mean.
If there are any questions as to how soon we return messages or comments please understand that as much as we love all of you we are very busy people and we do try to get back to everyone as soon as possible, even though it is not always a poignant date it is a date. Thank you so much for your ongoing support it means a lot to us and there is nothing we can say to describe the feelings good feedback gives us.
Thank you so much and please continue to be as amazing as you have all been. We play a good amount of shows with an amazing amount of bands. If you go to a show or are interested of knowing what bands we like to play with or listening to ask us. A few of them can be found in our top 8.
Sincerely,
Francine...and her Ruby Slippers. We've played shows with these bands as well:
The Number 12 Looks Like You, Chinese Stars, Steel Train, As Tall As Lions, Small Towns Burn Slower, Kevin Devine, 3, Boys Like Girls, Men Women and Children, The Chariot, and many more that we can't currently remember.
If you'd like to book us for a show and it may cross your mind that we may feel uncomfortable just remember that we love diversified audiences and shows.
Francine and HER Ruby Slippers's Friend Space (Top 12)
hi this is jahan i play guitar i remember seeing you guys at the ICC with vanna and some other hardcore bands. You guys really stood out because of the name and you were the only, I dunno what genre ok the only non-hardcore band there.
The sound was really shitty, and i couldn't really tell what your guy's deal was until I heard the myspace songs, and... damn. You guys are sweet. Kinda like a sweeter at the drive in>? so yeah anyway thought i'd spread the love around via myspace peace -jahan
we just got out of the studio, and have a couple free downloads on our page.. so please check em, download em, spread the word; it'd reallyyy mean alot<33
I used to come to all your Uxbridge and surrounding towns shows. And I'd be the first to show up at sunday's but I've been living in Hawaii for a month now and totally hate myself for not being able to go. So kickass as always and rest assured that I'm working on developing a fan base for you guys here, 5100 miles away in the middle of the Pacific.
In Summer School Freshman Year for English I wrote a story where my house was being invaded my serial killers, and you guys flew in superhero style with 40's in hand, capes and costumes and all, and played "Et Tu Brute" and the killers head exploded.
I am trying to find it so I can give it to you guys at the last show.
id like to tell you guys ive basically been listening to your music a shit ton lately, and i have huge huuuge respect for you after that show last month with all of those fun events, pce bros
oh and ps can i snag another cd from you guys? (well buy it) the one you guys gave me .. actually one year ago today you guys gave it to me at that show in tewksbury.. it snapped in half.
yo i woundering where can i get your guys music at, cause ive been looking everywhere and i cant find any of ur albums or songs its like u guys dont even exsist but anyways i'd like to know laters...
okay so i had the strangest dream about you guys last night. let me type it down before i forget....
okay so eric and josh you guys got a house right next to mine, we had to walk through the woods and the streets turned into like european ones, anyways you had like this huge skate park in your basement where we'd throw huge parties and i would always bring like a tressure chest for the winner and it would just magically have awesome stuff appear in it. well one night dan and i came to the party and i ran away for some reason and left the chest there and then i had to come back and get it. and then you guys came to my house and smoked cigs under my deck and played with my cats... okay i'm liek smokin crack or something. k love you guys. bye. :)
