Rubadub Review:
"Politically charged electro from Miami producer Alpha 606, this is pretty wicked shit. The man is fusing the percussive Latin influence from 80's Miami Bass (Conga's etc) with the futuristic glitch-werk of say, early Schematic records. Proper Miami shit that manages to be booty shaking and chin stroking at the same time. Tip!"

Just wanted to drop by and show some love. Your music has inspired me to take up playing conga again. Take care and due stop by the washington DC area and bless us with you music.
It has come to our attention that a message has been distributed about Lucumi Productions regarding nonpayment for services rendered by musicians for the Rock the Runway benefit concert we co-produced last night. Please be advised that this event was always represented to the two groups presented by Lucumi Productions as a “percentage-of-the-door” event in which the musicians would share a percent of the proceeds. The complaining group leader was present in the planning meetings when the contractual agreement was made. Only two groups were to be paid anything, both were with Lucumi Productions. All of the other artists that performed at Rock the Runway donated their services.
Unfortunately, the terms of this “percentage-of-the-door” agreement were not explained to the complaining group’s members. We regret that this was not communicated by the band’s leader. In fact, the Rock the Runway event did not make any profit. Many of the attendees were volunteers, guests, models or performers. What little money was received was to be used to offer some compensation to the artists. Understanding that some of the musicians were misinformed, in good faith and despite our losses, we have arranged to pay each of the band members contracted with Lucumi in at least a nominal way.
Finally, Lucumi is unaware of any amounts due to Danny Lozada. We also do not know Jose Manuel, the drummer referred to in the message regarding this matter.
If they or anyone else has any questions about monies owed or in this regard, please feel free to contact us.
Wishing you a happy holiday,
Peggy Jo Oliva
