I have been singing my whole life and am have realized my lifelong dream of recording a jazz album, released August 11, 2007. My background is mostly in musical theatre and opera. I grew up in musical family in Indiana and started singing in the church choir. I performed in musicals in high school and then moved to Tucson, AZ, where I did some community theatre musicals. Then I moved to New York City where I performed in some community theater and sang Broadway standards in piano bars. I came to San Diego in 1991 and did not sing for a while. I then worked with a few guitarists doing some folksy stuff in a few coffee houses here and there. I then eased my way back into doing musicals and then operetta. I had always wanted to sing jazz, but was fearful of pursing it due to my lack of formal education. Somehow I was inspired to give it an honest effort, which was the beginnings of the first (and so far only) cd release. I continue to sing jazz, as well as operetta and pop, and Christmas Carols in an a capella quartet, and church music. Musical diversity is a wonderful thing. However, jazz singing remains my true passion. ....
