All my musical life I have always felt that the guitar was a much bigger instrument than guitarists were using it for. One of my goals as a musicain was to remedy this issue, but I was never able to find a way to exploit the guitars range and possibilties without falling into the same trappings of secondary guitar parts, or instruments other than a bass adding to the fullness of the music.
After many years of searching for the right sound, I finally found the ingredients that best represent the musical statement I have been trying to make. Of course the most obvious facts remain true in most cases and the old saying, "Less is more" could not be any more true in this case. The band consists of three musicians: Guitar, Bass, and Drums. I felt the classic trio sound was best, but with a twist, no singing and no overdubbing on any recordings. the goal would be to never record anything that could not be performed live with only three musicians and no backing tracks. This was a great challenge and helped to force the band to adapt and grow.
As an instrumental band, I feel that we are challenged even more to fully represent our compositions without sounding empty or like every other guitar trio. Of course it does not hurt to have two of the most talented and seasoned musicians around to help accomplish this. All in all I believe this Trio will offer a progressive but grounded musical sound that I am sure will be unique.

What can I say about TJ. We have been playing together now for over 20 years. On top of being a great musician and a great and true friend, Tj and I have a long history of trying to get it right musically. He is one of the best drummers I have ever seen let alone played with! His powerful playing style has added a whole new dimension to the band both his fearlessness on stage and his dependability. With Danny Cronan covering the low end, what more can a guitar player ask for!

I have been playing music since the age of three. I have played and recorded with musicians on RCA, MCA, Sony, Epic and Capitol labels. My wish for everyone is that they will soon "get it".
I would like to thank Elizabeth, Sandy, Larry, Jeff, Ralph, Richie, Todd and all the rest of my inner circle. This includes Joe Villareal and his and all of my friends' families.
