The Frank Carlberg Quintet has been in existence for over 10 years. The band is dedicated to performing Carlberg's settings of 20th( ...and 21st...) century poets such as Robert Creeley, Anselm Hollo, Anna Akhmatova, Kenneth Rexroth, Jack Kerouac etc. Other sources for texts are newspaper articles, lease agreements, grand jury testimonies, chants, medical journals and verbal convulsions based on The Bill of Rights.
The Frank Carlberg Quintet has several CD releases including In the Land of Art (FSNT), Variations On a Summer Day (FSNT), The Crazy Woman (Accurate), "State of the Union" (FSNT) as well as the latest release "The American Dream" on Red Piano Records. The voice of Christine Correa is at the center of the group's sound.
