Influences
The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Rush, Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Todd Rundgren, Cream, The White Stripes, Led Zeppelin, Rare Earth, The Kinks, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Cheap Trick, Beck, and The Doors. Also, my father, Frank Cunningham, who taught me Roy Clark's version of "Guitar Boogie". Most of all, my sister Antonia. She would listen to a lot of these bands in her room, and I could hear them through the walls. She invited me in one day and showed me the album cover of Cheap Trick "Live at Buddahkhan". She said, "Look at the musicians and listen to the sounds. Which one do you want to be?". I said "All of them". And I am. Thank you, Antonia
Sounds Like
You tell me what it sounds like, I'm not comfortable comparing myself to my influences.

One of my first and favorite memories is further back than most people can probably remember for themselves. I remember being a toddler and liking music even though I didn't understand what it was. It was the same as when we learn to talk, you don't understand words, but you try to make the same sounds. Anyway, the memory-- Sometimes my Dad would break out his Epiphone and plug it into his amplifier and start playing "Sweet Dreams, Baby" by Roy Oribison and "Folsom Prison Blues" by Johnny Cash. I can still smell the hot electricity that accompanied the sounds and the ruby red light I stared at on the Fender amp while my Dad strummed and sang. Flash Forward to 4 years old and my next prophetic memory. I got my first phonograph and these albums from my sister; Sonny and Cher, Mitch Rider, Henry Mancini, and Three Dog Night. I would sit in my room and listen to them over and over. One day, my sister was quietly watching me and listening to me sing to Three Dog Night's "Celebrate". I didn't know I had an audience until she clapped and cheered and exclaimed, "That sounds great, Frank!" It made me feel special in a certain way that I have been addicted to ever since. My friends and I began putting on "concerts" for family. Later, I played drums in the junior high school band and marching band in high school. Meanwhile, my parents bought me my first red drum set. There would be no stopping me now! My friends got guitars, and we learned how to "jam". Some of the bands I've been a drummer in since then are: Menagerie, Arch Angel, Graphix, Nighthawks, Starfire, Bill Jesse and the Reward, Kari Nelson, Crushproof Box, and Brain Pleasure. Some Classic Rock, Heavy Metal, Pop, some cover tunes, some originals, a little bit of everything. Recently, I was looking for something different. Currently, I'm the singer in a band that doesn't have a name yet. The albums listed here are my own music on which I sing and play all the instruments (see liner notes on "The Face and Friends" for exceptions). I write the music and lyrics, and record it on my 24 track digital recorder in the comfort of my own home. I've been having an amazing time doing it, but it occurred to me that if I didn't play any shows, who would ever hear it? I can't play all the instruments live. Then I found out about Tunecore!! Now, I can share my passion with all of you without being signed with a major label. Hopefully, people will find enjoyment in listening to new music like I always have. Bon Appetit!
