Frank Diez has been one of the most influential Blues Guitar Players in Europe for decades and an important precursor for the evolution of Rock Music in Germany. He started his career in the late sixties as a founding member of bands like ..Atlantis, Randy Pie, Emergency.. and ..Armaggedon... He played with countless top artists such as ..Jimi Hendrix.. (a sudorific session but it changed his life...), ..Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Eric Burdon, John Mayall, Pete York, Mick Taylor, Donna Summer, Jackie Carter, Klaus Kinski, Milva, Snowball, Alex Conti, Gorgio Moroder, Miller Anderson, Inga Rumpf, Joan Baez, Konstantin Wecker, Tom Principato, Maggie Bell.. and many, many more. He also was founding member of ..Peter Maffay Band.. with whom he shared stages for 30 years. .. .. Together with bass legend ..Colin Hodgkinson.. he formed the ..Electric Blues Duo... They rocked more than 1300 locations during the past 20 years - and still do. Frank is involved in many projects as a producer, guitar player and writer, and he is a most welcome companion for many live and studio acts. .. .. As a result of this unresting lifestyle he is to be heard on dozens of records and productions - what did not prevent him from finally releasing a solo CD in 2000: ..Stranded on Fantasy Island... .. .. Frank Diez is currently living in Berlin, Germany, doing his regular job: playing fine tunes and soulful music.
