I got my start in the music industry in the early 90s designing and wiring pro studios and location recording rigs for artists like Perry Farrell, Filter and John Paul Jones. For several years I worked as second engineer on records for Frank Black, Belinda Carlisle, Mike Watt and John Mayall. It was during this time when I also did extensive artist development for future Grammy Award winning band, Train.
As an engineer and mixer, I joined forces with producer & digital editing pioneer Scott Humphrey, and worked with acts like Rob Zombie, Powerman 5000, BT, The Crystal Method, A Perfect Circle, Tommy Lee, Static-X, Coal Chamber, The Dandy Warhols, 58 (NIKKI SIXX) and many others.
I have recently co-written, produced and/or mixed the latest releases for bands like: THE REMOVAL ACT, SOULJOURNERS, THE TURN, SHAUNA BRITTENHAM and CARBON 9. More recently, you can hear the sonic assault of rockers NERO ZERO and Austrian singer/songwriter DOROTA MALEK. Also--my co-producer in crime, STEVER has her Playground Isolator still in full effect.
When I'm not making noise, I write for Recording Magazine...usually about my misadventures in the studio, if that's at all interesting to anyone out there.
Hi Frank! Hope all is well with you.. It's been a while since we had a chance to talk.. I'm sure you are even busier that I am :) We are working away on our 3rd studio album and I have been getting some nice gigs as producer, mixing and mastering and just got offered a nice gig at a studio. Sleep has become a distant memory at this point!
Best of luck to you and all of your projects in 2009. I just want to say what a fan I am of your work and sound. I still would love to have you work with, "CORE". I took a year to strengthen the entire project. They are ready to take the next step on their songs. Have a great weekend! Jeremy>>
First and foremost, I’m sorry for the delay in making an introductory comment; I’ve been travelling on and off for the past two weeks and have been unable to catch-up with everything until now. Thank you for adding me.
Having said that, please know that I'm a great fan of your work as I know it in regard to Souljourners, Stever, and Zei. I was suprised to discover how much more you're involved with and listened to "Murmur" too (rock!), a quick riffling through your blogs and I know I'll be back after I finish catching up. - Chip QNP

Hello Frank, I'm a commenting fool today, so decided to stop by and say hello (it's be awhile, eh?) Hope this finds you well and working on more crazy good music!! Looking forward to your next article, let me know when you have it up so I can share it with all I know. Keep rockin and hope to see ya soon!
Thanks for the add, Frank. Especially, thank you for your vast insight in Recording Mag every month--now that's true religion! :-)D Cheers, Jon LJ & HRL
