About me: Frankie Darcell started her career as an undergraduate at Morgan State Universities WEAA FM in Baltimore, Maryland as an engineer for then talk show hosts Kweisi Mfume. Since that time she has worked in Raleigh-Durham, and Charlotte North Carolina as a Music Director and Assistant Program Director, before moving to Detroit in 1993 where she now has enjoyed fourteen successful years. Frankie is currently the host of the award winning show, the Mid-Day Mix and the public affairs show "Sunday Morning Talk of the Town". Frankie is an author of two successful books, lecturer, and business woman. She has appeared on four magazine covers, featured in more than sixty-five newspaper articles and publications, and can be found frequently appearing on both local and national television and radio programs discussing topics that matter to the community, especially issues that relate to the quality of life for woman and children. She has found a unique way to both inspire and empower her listeners and readers often with great humor. A proud graduate of Morgan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority Inc. Additionally she is the recipient of several major industry awards, and recognitions from such dignitaries as the Governor, Mayor, City Council, United States Congress, and community. With all of those achievements, her greatest reward is being a mom to her daughter Phallon which gives her the greatest joy.
