'Life is vicious and indiscriminate. It swipes away lives at random, crushes families or pulls them apart, infects and sickens. Sometimes, music feels like all we have. It helps us drive to work when our minds are a million miles away. It pours into our consciousness, soaks and breaks apart knotted tumours, drips out in salty teardrops. Its drum establishes rapport with our heartbeat, echoes wild frustrations and anger. Watch Harper assault the skins in ‘Fragile’, reminiscent of nothing since My Bloody Valentine’s ‘Only Shallow’. Guitars that can turn over tanks or simply make us want to dance; because life can be joyous too, and friends often gather round in times of difficulty. Music helps us celebrate, lose our inhibitions, our fears, our virginity. It trivialises, puts smiles on faces. It allow for reflection and introspection. Frankie and the Heartstrings do all of this. Like the greatest bands they come seemingly out of nothing. They refuse to follow in the muggy wave of the next or last or current new wave. Like that kid at school they’re cool by the simple fact they don’t try to be, don’t care whether they are or not, but simply do what they do because it’s what they know. But they do come from somewhere. They emerge from decades of music to be angered by, to be excited by and to be lost in. They’re fifties, sixties, seventies, eighties, nineties, noughties and beyond. They’re what music was invented for. Listen, smash something, let the tears flow, sing along and don’t forget to dance..."

"blending low-level hip-hop beats with Scorn-esque bass and elonated guitar riffs to remarkable effect. . . it's that awesome. . . the music is superb, the artwork and packaging equally good. . . [it's] warped shuffling genius. 300% necro, foo'! (5/5)" (Zero Tolerance magazine).
Necro Deathmort's This Beat Is Necrotronic is OUT NOW on Distraction Records, but you can get your hands on it for FREE (on a 'if you like it, why not buy the CD?' basis) in all of its 320kps mp3 glory at http://sharebee.com/d2ce671a!
Its been selling faster than we expected, and we currently only have around a quarter of our stock left - so we thought we'd better you all know that if you want a copy then now would be a good time to pick one up! If you buy it from the link above then you're buying it direct from us, the label aren't taking a cut - so its a bit like Fair Trade for struggling musicians.
International mail-order is available, just follow the instructions.
Thank you very much, and sorry for making a mess of your profile. If its any kind of consolation, we don't have a MySpace bot, so I'm leaving these comments the old fashioned way. Three -and-a-half thousand of them. My life is so exciting.
