**(Quick & Slimmed Down Version) After being introduced to spinning music by my best friend Rob Dunn (RIP), at the age of 12 I began my career as a dj playing at backyard parties in the beginning, but by the 6th grade I was introduced to hall and warehouse parties thrown in the Harbor Area and Los Angeles while I was with a dj/dance crew called "One Step Ahead". It was a fun and expressive time for me as a dj in the 80's and 90's, House music came to my ear in 1987 through a friend who used to bring mix tapes from an older brother of a friend he was in military school with. It was a long time ago, but I can tell you his name was "Richie's Bad" Robollino from Chicago. House music just made sense to me as a dj who enjoys getting a crowd response and likes to keep the floor moving. My senior year in high school I began throwing parties at clubs in the South Bay and in 1991 an 18 & over night in the Huntington Harbor called "Senses" with Dj's Frank C. and Keone. Higher @ Sangria was the most successful house night I threw from mid 98' to early 2006 , this is where I was beginning to finally get more recognition as a house dj. It was a struggle at first but over a couple of slow months we began to attract a solid weekly crowd of house music lovers that continued to support us for almost 8 years. At the time I kept the dj's strictly locals and friends visiting L.A. from abroad. After the first year I began to reach out to the growing house scene in L.A. from Marques Wyatt to Jamie Thiness, and L.A. house originals Terrence Toy, Miguel Plasencia, Cade, Lilyanne, Eddie Amador, etc. Which brings me to the time I spent working for Marques and Deep for about six years and with a few breaks in between. Deep, as many now know, can be a very inspirational place for somebody who lives and breathes music. My time working for Marques as a personal assistant was a special time for me to learn as much as I could from someone who was at the time, seeing it all come together with the whole original Deep crew, my family, Slick, Big Cee, Tamara, Smurf, Marques, we all saw it happen from the beginning, and continue to support what Deep stands for. I would like to thank all of the old & new friends from the scene and supporters that I've had the pleasure of knowing and dancing with over the years. I've had the opportunity to open up for dj's Mark Grant, Alton Miller, and others at Deep including Marques for his "For Those Who Like To Get Down" Release Party. I was also blessed one year in Miami to open for Dj Spinna. My friend Juan Hoerni hired me on to work for his label during WMC and dj at the Cha Cha Party.. Juan wasn't feeling good and I was asked to play right before Spinna. It was a good feeling to be able to play in front of such a notable artist and get positive feedback, i was overjoyed with his response and it inspired me to "never stop" spinning music.
