Hey! I'm FranK. I'm a compulsive musical instruments buyer, and I'm using them the best I can. I built my own studio (the "Somewhere Else In the Universe" studio).
I started my first band, makaks (http://www.myspace.com/frankmakak) in 1998. It was pure DIY punk rock and lasted until 2000. After that I started a side project band with my friend/partner in crimes Jay. NightVisioN was born. NightVisioN (http://www.myspace.com/nightdivision) was a darker project, with a very artistic approach, as Jay and I were both in Art School at that time. NightVisioN is currently unactive, but we have not said our last word. That's only by the end of 2002 that I decided to go solo, and this move gives us the tunes we have here on this very page and a hundred more. In 2005, I fronted the short-lived Tormentos, a Ramones-inspired band. A 4 song EP, titled "Let's Give The Neighbours A Reason To Complain", was recorded but never released. In October 2006, I started a mini-opera project with two of my heroes (Kelly Haigh and KW Monster). The result was frank makak's misery train (http://www.myspace.com/frankmakakmiserytrain). A limited edition CD of the Misery Train mini-opera was released in June 2007, and was sold out in less than 2 days (CD's have found new homes everywhere in the world, from the USA to the UK, and even in Costa Rica and New Zealand!). Hello, after an unfortunate hiatus, the reasons for which are probably best not gone into here, we finally have some new music on the AUK MySpace site. For your listening pleasure this month we offer Nathan Oliver, Conrad Ford, the irrepressible Todd Snider and the delightful Beccy Owen.
