After several years of fighting the system in Nashville, Frank Pilgrim returned to his roots in the great state of Florida. "I had some great times in Music City...made some good friends and had the opportunity to write and play with some truly incredible musicians. But as they say, it was time to turn the page" Frank states. "Life's all about changes!"

He dropped out of the music biz altogether, got a "normal" job, and continued on with his life...but deep down inside, a flame still burned. One day, a co-worker mentioned to him that he'd listened to some of the "old" tunes on the internet. Frank was shocked. "I didn't know the songs were still floating around the Net!" Frank said. "Or that anyone would even want to hear them!" But they did...and soon calls started coming from Nashville. The old idea that Southern Rock and Country didn't mix was a thing of the past. The "Powers That Be" were sitting up and taking notice of Frank's songs and style.

Frank pulled out some masters from the back of his closet and approached a buddy who ran a recording studio. "We remastered several songs that I'd recorded in Nashville but never released and they sounded pretty good...and that was all it took!" Frank said. "The old fire was back!"

Frank looked up Joe(Skydog) Clem from Skydog Music in South Carolina and gave him a call. "I didn't know what had happened to Frank...thought maybe the hurricanes had blown him away! Skydog Music had worked with him during his Nashville years and always believed his songs were something special. I put one of his songs ("American Dream") from his first CD on Red Dirt Radio and got an overwhelming response from the listeners. It's time to get this ball rollin' again!" Skydog said.

And so it is...

Southern Rock and Outlaw Country as well as "Classic" Country have always been among Frank Pilgrim's strong influences. The new CD, tentatively titled "Hard Dog" touches on all three. We have included tunes from the first CD and the new one here on this site. Enjoy...and let us know what you think!
