It's raining. It's snowing.
It's snowing, it's raining.
If it's a trick,
don't tell me.
God's up late watching it all happen.
As for me,
I've got to borrow from all this chaos
to keep honest.
I am clumsy in my solitude.
Outmoded in my forms of sadness.
I love what matters
and I love what doesn't matter.
I love the starry mouth of the night
and the incidental blue threads of sky that outline it.
I love the curious music in your eyes.
I love the hinge of a blackcrow's wing.
I love how truth flows,
simple as water,
under the dead philosopher
and his failed system.
I love his failed system.
I love what is naked in your eyes.
Am I still talking.
Something invisible is pushing against my ribs & the air.
It says, " Live here. Live here.
Silence is a thing for returning to later. "
And so I apprenticed myself to the stuttering rain
and the noisy singing notes of snow
falling down through the air
and I received this knowledge.
" The wormy laws of men are overthrown
by the beautiful argument of a song."
If it's a trick,
don't tell me....

Frank Tedesso and Peter Lewy's Friend Space (Top 12)
Frank, The Boss was asking for you. I told him that you would come see him when he got the "real" show together!! :-) :-) Hope you are feeling better. best, Joe D
Knuckles, Get better my friend. I miss you. We all miss you. The moon and the rain are missing their running partner and the wind is not too happy about it either. Get back to the streets soon. Best, Bones
I wanted to post this for all of frank's fans on Myspace. This is a message from Noam Weinstein:
Frank Tedesso -- one of my closest friends and favorite artists -- has spent most of the last two months in the hospital. He's through the worst of it and his long-term prognosis is very good, but he has a slow recovery ahead. On Sunday, April 13th from 6-8pm, I'll be joining some of Frank's other friends at The Living Room, sharing songs and poems to raise money which'll help Frank get back on his feet when he finally returns home. We'll be playing a song or two each and also reading a few of Frank's incredible poems. The other performers include Dave Cantor, Eric Metzgar, Greta Gertler, Kelly Flint, Jack Hardy, Jane-Kelly Williams, Jason Crigler, Jim Allen, Jon Albrink, Mike Williams, Nick Berry, Norman Salant, Peter Lewy, Tim Robinson, and Timothy Hill
We're going to have a suggested donation of $25, but everyone is invited even if that's a bit steep for you (and larger contributions are of course welcome!). If you can't make it to the show but would like to contribute, you can do so via PayPal using the address franktedesso@yahoo.com, or just write me back for a postal address/other options.
The untitiled song about Elvis is devastating. Only you could place The King on the Galapagos Islands and by doing so end up communicating the huge sum of what's right and wrong with us all. Only you.
I first heard about Frank from a Chicago newspaper article, and got his CD and loved it! I cannot say enough about how much I love his songs and his sound- Please come to chicago again!
"There's another Bruce Springsteen, and he's my super..."
Ever since I heard that first line of your song on "The Midnight Special," years ago, I was hooked... bought your CD and listened and really studied the lyrics. You have such a singular way of singing and seeing things that truly rivets me.
I saw you perform once at the Beat Kitchen, with Buddy Mondlock's group of friends, and that was amazing, too.
So, thanks for the add, and it's so nice to hear your new tunes here, best, Sue
