There is little drama here. Fran did not grow up surrounded in misery, violence, poverty or addiction. Nor has he been in prison, or suffered any greater tragedies than the ordinary. In fact Fran Bove has had a pretty normal upbringing in a small market town famed for its antique shops!
Without this drama to take inspiration from, Fran’s songs tend to be ones that we can all relate to. Tales of love, loss, depression, and sometimes even joy! He takes his inspiration from everyday life, the people he meets, his own experiences and the stories he hears along the away.
His is a musical past that is rich and busy, that saw him join a covers band in his mid teens, promote local music, and lead a funk/acid jazz outfit that only recently went their separate ways. He’s played a series of living room gigs in Scotland and Wales and has played venues and festivals in England from The Lakes down to Bude. It’s clear to see that the passion, determination and sensitivity that lie in his soul are what drives his music.
With a previous demo ep – “Fiction Fire” under his belt Fran is taking time to write and record new material before embarking on a career with nothing but his guitar, his voice and his songs. Who knows what to expect, there’s no arty concept here, just musings to music.

was just gonna say, my mates trying to get rid of a drum kit hes got and never uses, so its pretty much untouched, brand new skins and cymbals, three toms etc good condition, dnt no to much about it tbh, and he onli wants about £80 - £100 for it and was just wondering if you new of ne1 who'd wna take it off his hands?

I was up till the wee sma hours composing a song in his honour, or shoulda say in memory of what a great man he is and so his spirit lives on in all of us or as many as possible. You should check my blog on that subject-touching-it is.
