Frantic Melbourne....
Having started in Melbourne 7 years ago, Frantic parties have always had a reputation for great parties and attracted a loyal following. After the huge response to Frantic’s ‘One Last Time’ event in June 2006 we thought that 12 months wait was about time for a reunion.
Headlining this event for the first time @ Frantic Melbourne will be Tara Reynolds, a DJ who needs no introduction to the hard dance scene. Together will a stellar line up of locals and dirty electro house in the Phunk Room it promises to blow the roof off Room680.
We’re stepping it up a few notches on production as well, with more lasers, lighting & décor to make it a truly memorable experience. The one thing that will be the same is Frantic’s up-for-it and friendly crowd.
Come join us for a reunion to remember!!!!
Tara Reynolds
Tara Reynolds is one of only a handful of international female hard house DJs. Her ability to combine filthy turbo-charged basslines with uplifting hi-energy melodies have earmarked her as one of the few DJs who’s been able to break out of the tough London scene to command headline sets across the UK and abroad.
After starting at small parties, Tara quickly rose through the ranks and was soon playing for leading London clubs such as Frantic, Heat and Riot, culminating in ‘Frantic Taratime’ where she headlined a sell-out event of 2,500 people at the legendary Camden Palace.
But where many London DJs find it hard to conquer the rest of the UK, Tara went on to play clubs the length and breadth of the country. Her intelligent and versatile approach to DJing combined with her exuberant personality meant she easily broke through the barrier, today playing at Slinky, Polyseuxual, the Tidy Weekenders, Tidy Magna, Dance Academy, Garlands, Sundissential, Wildchild and Tall Trees. At the same time Tara was able to court an international following and was asked to play in Japan, Greece, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.
An important artist milestone for Tara was when she was asked to mix the Insomnia 3 compilation CD alongside Paul Maddox, with the album critically acclaimed by clubbers and industry people alike. This was followed by single releases on Impact, Freezing Point and Tidy, and remixes on Short Circuit, Deprivation and Energy UK Records, establishing her as a talented producer and remixer to boot. Another career highlight for Tara was being asked to remix the Tripoli Trax classic ‘Hellfire’.
In 2005 Tara’s career continued to grow, with notable headline sets including the Tidy Weekenders and Creamfields in August, plus overseas dates at Tidy vs Extreme in Ibiza, Norway, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. Notable releases included the collaboration projects ‘The DJ, The Music’ with Paul Glazby on Vicious Circle and ‘Freeze’ / ‘Voyeur’ with JP & Jukesy on Deprivation, both released just before Tara relocated back to Melbourne in early 2006.
