Influenced by Black Sabbath & Ozzy, love Ronnie James Dio & Rainbow, Deep Purple, Rush, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Nazareth, UFO, Heart, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Faith No More, Black Label Society! I love Zakk Wylde. He has definately inspired me with his band BLS.....Much thanks to Zakk! The guitar on FRAYD's "Brainwashed" has a definate BLS feel to it!
Ric's influences are Faith No More, Fight, David Bowie, Dio, Priest, Iron Maiden, Forbidden, Queensryche, Prong, Disturbed, Slipknot and I'm sure there's more...........
JP's influences are Rush, Godsmack & Disturbed.

FRAYD is primarily an all original rock band from Chicago's south side and established it's roots in many past projects. Over the years, the band has gone through different lineups and went through numerous band names (Valhalla, Iron Tears, Gravity Well to name a few) until recently reforming under the current lineup back in the earlier part of 2006.
Songwriters, Ric & Sheree Fray have always been the core of the band and stuck together through all the changes the band went through and reformed a solid lineup with old drummer friend, John Pontrelli.
FRAYD's first CD is an all original 13 song disc entitled "In Loving Memory Of All Things Lost" which was recorded in the earlier part of the bands career. Broadjam has recently given the track "Odyssey" a rave review. They quoted: "Like the edgy quality of the track. It certainly builds up quite a head of steam and features sterling performances by the whole ensemble."
The band also shows off a 2 song demo of it's more recent tracks like "Get Up" and "Soul Beneath The Skin" among countless other songs that still need to be recorded. The band has plans for an upcoming CD of all new original material that is currently underway, entitled "Reprogram/Resurrection" which will be finished sometime in 2008.
In addition to this upcoming CD, we have enough new material for another disc which we are also currently preparing for. The band has really grown and musically matured within these last few years and the amount of original material we are producing has been over abundant. We can honestly say that we have not experienced any form of writers block whatsoever.
FRAYD's music is quite diverse in that it ranges from commercial radio-friendly to instrumental rock pieces. Although we are primarily an all original rock band, (we also do our share of blues instrumentals) we have incorporated cover tunes into our set list. The band also has plans for upcoming videos and to re-shoot the same video footage for our song "In My Car" a video which was shot in October of 2006 by a bum outfit... which we were unable to obtain.....(read our blog for details) which we will stream on our website and here at myspace.
