General
All things horror and fantasy related (movies, books, art, comics, real life, etc),
gaming(Half-Life, Manhunt, RE4), fine art, cryptozoology, the paranormal, you know, all the best odball and geeky things to like. But most of all, my greatest interest is in my family which includes my wife, a son, a daughter, 4 dogs and a cat. (RIP Gibby. We miss you old man.)
Music
Hard and harder rock, alternative(whatever that really means), non-pretentious goth, insane industrial, classic(anti-AM soft serve diabetic)rock, art(smarter than you)rock, blah blah blah. Basically, I like what I like.
Movies
Obviously horror movies are at the top of the list, but my passion for the art of movies and storytelling runs the gamut of all genres. I am particularly fond of obscure & odd movies (Spider Baby, Forbidden Zone, The Other).
Television
Masters of Horror,Carnivale(HBO WTF!),Ghost Hunters,Deadwood, X-Files,Buffy,Twilight Zone,Outer Limits, Sopranos, Heroes, Addams Family, Munsters, Ultraman, Anime and classic cartoons, Monty Python, Mr. Show, Kids in the Hall, SCTV, Chapelle's Show, and,unfortunately, I have an addiction to a lot of reality shows. I can't help it! I'm drawn to trash like a bulimic fly!
Books
Moorcock, Clive Barker, Stephen King, H.P. Lovecraft, Colin Wilson, Maurice Sendak, Charles Addams, etc.
A book I'd happily recommend is Freaks: We Who Are Not As Others by Daniel P. Mannix. At the beginning of the book he uses a quote from L. Frank Baum written for The Scarecrow from The Marvelous Land of OZ that I take a lot of inspiration from.
