Freakfilms, Inc. creates video press kits for musicians.
The company was started in 1995 by Merle Becker, ex-MTV staff producer / editor. A love of music programming drove her to start Freakfilms, Inc., a company which has focused on projects either heavily influenced by music, or geared toward music video / promotion.
The company's name is a reference to it's mantra: "Keep it out of the ordinary".
In addition to doing electronic press kit & profile pieces for both major label, and independent artists, Freakfilms does commercial work for networks including MTV, Fuse, VH1, AMC, and IFC..
The company has also finished a political documentary, "Saving Newburgh", and most recently finished a movie about rock poster art entitled "American Artifact".
