In order (from an abridged list, leaving out things like mechanical bull-riding), I've been: a young spaz, a mediocre high school student, a landlord's lackey a mediocre martial arts student, a chess club member, a dishwasher, a better-than average college student, a college newspaper reporter and editor, a factory gopher, a "real" reporter, an overwhelmed and outclassed graduate creative writing student, a Starbucks employee, a waiter, an alternative press reporter, a potential husband and stepfather, a lost cause, a file clerk, a research assistant, a retinal photographer, a trainer, a teacher, an organizer, a herald of doom, a beacon of hope, and a mystery carelessly wrapped by holiday help in an enigma with "WTF" written on the bow. If the word "poet" comes out in my obituary after all that, I'll be happy.
I've lived and worked in the Boston area for over a decade. By day, I labor in the various local VA Healthcare Systems. By night, I host and/or promote the long-running Stone Soup Poetry series in Cambridge (8-10 PM every Monday night).
In addition to all that, I continue to send my work out to various publications. My work can be found in print and online.
I am generally a creature of Blogger. Click here for my "official" blog. Still, I'm interested in seeing what I can do here. I hope you comeback to visit this page often. If you're an editor and/or publisher, let me know if you want to use my work.

"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)
"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff
