Hi.. I am Ish I am a musician from Dilli, India. I have been playing guitar for some time.. here on myspace.music I have uploaded some of my scratches/recordings, a few of them I had recorded here in delhi and the Mountains :) I studied classical guitar for some time then I dropped out and started studying guitar/music on my own. Right now I am totally into the latin Rythms from Paraguay to Brazil... My influences are villa-lobos, Augustine Barrios Mangore, Luiz Bonfa, Bola Sete, Jhon Coltrane, Tal Farlow , Miles Davis and countless others.... the first track on myspace called 'Sketches with guitar' is dedicated to all these great musicians.. 'sketches with guitar' has about 4 songs that i have played on my Nylon string guitar, the songs are :

A friend introduced me to electronic music, and our first intro-suction into it was via Drum n bass amen. and going for the Punditz' Cyber Mehfil gigs -- Our electronic outfit is called dbase (taken from a Pixies song 'dbaser'.)
dbase is an everchanging Ensemble of Acoustic and Electronic musicians and D.J.s blending guitars with drum machines and Synthesizers with percussions. We started DJ'ing in Summer of 2000 here in delhi doing underground 'Drum n Bass and' Jungle parties that was a lot of fun. then we started Playing Live with an 808, drum machine, guitars and Percussions in Goa in the summer of 2003. We Played live and DJ sets at Paradiso and 9 bar when in goa and also at some open air parties. This set up was very experimental and Abstract. And this set was totally influenced by funk and electronica.. We were also covered by 'the hindu' (minus the page 3 bull shit) when we played a gig in Hyderabad. the link is at:

Me and Konrad Bayer have formed an abstract/ambient duo in 2005 called diF(which can be downloaded from http://freemuzik.net , under the electronic and fusion music section) we Are using sounds Abstracted from the streets of delhi .. to put together a new kind of sound as an expression of contemporary Delhi.
