POSTFACE plus Tonto Goldberg, Bikes, Undewriter!!!!! Postface gets together for the release of their first cassette, finally on CD!!! How many songs will they play? I don't know...at least 3. It's kinda hard to get them off stage once they get going...
I remember the first time I saw Freaks With Beaks. It was a show at Sinbads, (more commonly known as Dirty Moe;s West) They opened for Marilyin Manson and The Spooky Kids. It was before I knew Greg,who introduced himself to me as dogfucker, Wolfie, Bosky, or Rick. I was inbetween bands at the time seeing how FWB took my rythym section and was about to form Groovy Coochies. That summer I took so much acid I tripped just about everyday one possibly could. That night I took two hits of blotter and was trippin' balls by the time the Freaks hit the stage. Mt guts were shaking and my heart was in my throat when they ramped up their set and puoded and throbbed the fuck out of the room. It was a complete sonic massacre that culminated with my brother, Casey, kneeling at the edge of the stage playing a Fiscer Price Electronic saxophone. Iwas just starting to rebuild a relationship with my brother and was proud to tears the way he tore up the room. Honestly Manson was not the antichrist superstar that night,he was the anticlimax dildothrower.What sets apart a ground pounding band like FWB from the gimmicky staged act like Brian Warner is raw unrelenting tear your head off and fuck you sideways till tuesday power that Freaks With Beaks had that night and many nights after. Unfortunately this was the one and only time I saw Casey play with his band. When we lost him at the end of that summer it kinda broke us(and you know who you are) down and pulled us together at the same time. I beleive that Casey is always with me he is my angel that pulls me out of the muckity muck. So to all who were there that night I'd like to give a shout out to all you freaks and you know how the rest goes.
