   Freak Train's Comedian Bio
BioFreak Train began in August of 2000 with a handful of theatre geeks and artists who decided that, once a month, there oughta be a place where you can go to drink a beer, chill out, and get on stage to perform - or maybe just point and watch.

Now in our 8th year, we’re joined by actors, musicians, comedians, cubicle warriors, and all manner of interesting, entertaining folk.

Please join BITCH publisher Debbie Rasmussen for a participatory discussion about how - and whether - feminism can become a transformative movement for social change.

* How can we drive attention to the power, privilege and marginalization that continue to play out in feminist communities and how can those of us with power and priviledge become effective, genunine allies to those without it?

* How can we collectively create an independent feminist media - justice movement that doesn't rely on white supremacy, class privelege and economic exploitation?

* Can the idea of "feminism" shift to foreground an uncompromising, transformative commitment to systemic social change or is it time to evolve to new language?

Happy Birthday, GerRee! And thanks for another great evening!

I just wanted to let other Freaks know that we found another great local restaurant (since our fave, Patsy's, was closed for Memorial Day). We saw the flyer for Mariscos el Kora in the Bug lobby, and decided to try it. It's a few blocks east on 38th & Jason. Little place, but oh-so-tasty Mexican seafood. Hector, the chef, was nice as could be.

Just thought we'd point our Freak friends to another local business.

See you next month!!!!

Oh, you KNOW I read the newsletter. Especially when it mentions me in conjunction with sparkling, which makes me think of sparkling wine, which makes me think of giggling hysterically, which makes me think of Freak Train, which makes me think of all of you, which makes me think of me again.. wait.
Am I supposed to be modest in this or something?
