Barbarellaman (Freamon Barney Von Chavous) leads the suite and go boldly with bop guns, savoir-faire, and shiny shenanigans where no act has gone before.
Electro-Disco-Funk best describes their sound as they fuse arresting dance beats, righteous compositions and soul stirring narratives that are delivered with evangelical fervor. As the featured vocalist/storyteller on the newHsoul endeavor, “New Soil” and the upcoming Supahero GoGo Star album, Barbarellaman is most certainly an intergalactic crusader. Audiences willingly travel with him to an alternate reality where love, peace, light, sensuality and the cosmic amalgamate and where singularity is conceivable. Freamon Barney Von Chavous as Barbarellaman is an adorable and provocative rhetorician that leaves an indelible impression on the mind of any witness to the spectacular. The antics of Sun Ra, The Parliament-Funkadelic, Ziggy Stardust, Sylvester, and Grace Jones are obvious influences as S.H.G.G.S suck you through a worm hole, into a world that you will most certainly buy into. Born and raised in Detroit, Freamon is absolutely the essence of Soul with a serious twist. His vocals are quite rooted in Gospel and R&B music as the branches of his styling reach out toward uncharted territories to become something strange yet beautiful. Freamon Barney Von Chavous creates colorful, multi-textured landscapes that you see with you ears as his parables are delivered with the eloquence of a preacher man offering food for thought while remaining buoyant and sanguine. A funk fed vocal sensitivity, a diverse cast of players within and a vivid imagination is the inspiration behind Supahero GoGo Star.
