Freckle was born in the latter part of 2008 somewhere in Wolverhampton. Laura and Martin needed a drummer, to which Claire was asked and agreed to do one cold dark night. The missing link named James (Red Lite Run) was added to the Freckle group in April 2009 and ever since we have been hard at work creating songs for your listening pleasure.
With a good handful or two of sweet sounding songs, Freckle will be delighting your ear drums with some good choons in 2009 so watch this space!

Gig Review: Flannigans, Wolverhampton 29th January 2009
"Cautious start but it was a first gig, however they thawed beautifully as the gig went along.
Followed AFS Electronica who weirded out the audience with his offbeat ivory-whacking brand of electro-comedy... so having to warm the crowd from a less-than-well-received performance was going to be a feat for any band.
A sexy slick set of music; Laura's voice illuminated beautifully constructed lyrics and tune, a galeforce wind blowing light through a cobweb... musical el nino beaten from butterfly wing drumming to effervesce into strict controlled confidence from drummer Claire (passionate perfectionist) and supporting his two leading ladies, Martin nonchalants his guitarring with ease and warmth (calm and talented guitarrist-bassist).
A thoroughly enjoyable 30 minutes; raw and ready for a 2nd gig soon so as not to lose the momentum of a virgin flight: the chance to start running free as a group of newly broken-in musical horses."

hey guys, thanks very much, your set was awesome, you sound great, really melodic. We were a bit disappointed with our performance tbh, we didn't do very good, plus I lost £50!!! yeah the stage was teeeny, it was like playing on a hearth. Still, a good gig
