  • Bio

Hey everyone! I'm Fred Cichy. With no musical background, knowledge, or even good instruments, I picked up my mom's old guitar in '02 and began to write. The rest is pretty much self explanatory. I started playing with bands right away... In high school it was the punk band 'Everybody's Elvis.' Then my early college years at UW-Madison introduced me to my acoustic guitar with 'Belmont Line.' The latter college years gave me musical knowledge with the funk styles of 'Walking For Chicken,' and the rocking jammed out sounds of 'Trio.' After graduating, I lived in Santa Barbara for two years where I and sang with the groove inducing 'Boombox Orchestra,' played bass with the irie 'Exit 86,' and played guitar/sang for 'The Dub Rats.' These bands have even allowed me to share the stage with artists likeThe John Butler Trio, The Pharcyde, Matt White, Mer, Timmy Curran, Sashamon, Tribal Seeds, The Mad Professor, and The Profits just to name a few. Since I've played around many different types of styles, my own writing can have hints of all types of genres. I moved to Santa Monica 3 months ago, and I hope to spread my sound. So please, take a real listen and let me know what you think... (the recordings are a little old, but I will get my new songs up soon) THIS IS A VIDEO OF ONE OF MY SONGS "LEASE." ..Check out this video: Santa Barbara LIVE!........ .. .. .. .. .. .. ............ .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... ..Free Myspace Layouts.. by MyspaceLayoutSpy.com.. ..Microphone Myspace Layouts.. in ..music myspace layouts..
