Fred Costello, born in Syracuse, NY, is a multi-talented musician with a varied career including national radio and TV appearances and numerous recording
sessions for which he has either played or written........
A well respected jazz organist, Fred spent many years on the road with gigs at
the Fremont Hotel in Las Vegas, Frank Sinatra’s Cal-Neva Lodge in Lake Tahoe,
Kings Inn, Bahamas, Playboy Club in Hollywood, Capri Club in Tijuana and
hundreds of stops in between........
Fred has appeared with Mark Murphy, Chuck Mangione, Johnny Smith, Slide Hampton, Doc Severinsen, Steve Gadd, Gene Cornish, The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra among many others........
Fred has been featured on the Regis Philbin Show, NBC Sports Organists Show, Newsweek, USA Today, NY Times and TV Guide........
Besides his group’s jazz gigs, he is also organist for the Rochester Red Wings Baseball Team and the Rochester Americans Hockey Club and has turned down five major league offers to remain in Rochester to oversee his studio operation
and booking agency which he runs with son Terry........
Fred was elected to the Rochester Sports Walk of Fame in 1999.....
Fred’s latest live jazz CD, "Blues Backstage" was released last year.
