Freddy Will™, the CEO/President of Ghetto Breed Entertainment (GBE) and Freddy Will Publishing, is a widely known recording artist who was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone. He grew up living in Liberia, Sierra Leone, The Gambia and Senegal, West Africa and spent his adult years living in New Jersey, USA. Freddy Will independently records his music through Thunder Dome Sounds Studios, spearheaded by JUNO Award winning producer Eddie Bullen. Also, he is a literary writer who publishes his books out of Ontario, Canada through Soul Asylum Poetry & Publishing.

As an adolescent and the oldest of four siblings, Freddy Will pursued a career in music, film and literature. His musical influences are Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, Naughty by Nature, Tupac Shakur, The Notorious BIG and Snoop Dogg (to name a few) while his literate influences include William Shakespeare, John Grisham, Tom Clancy, Jame Hardley Chase and the Pacesetters of West Africa. They also influence most of the theatrical work in his screneplays as well as movie producer John Singleton whose work has always intrigued Freddy Will.

His love for rap music, combined with his experiences during two civil genocidal wars of Liberia and Sierra Leone, molded him into an exceptional artist who expresses himself through writing music, books and screenplays. In 2006, his keen interest in science and healthcare, also led him to establish a non - profit charity organization for cancer and geriatric care - Freddy Will Hope Foundation.

‘My Book of Chrymes’ is an autobiographical book which chronicles the abrasive experiences of independent recording artist and author, Freddy Will™, whose real name is Wilfred Kanu, Jr. This book unearthed intense moments of his life that inspired lyrics which are intrinsically woven into his debut album, ‘While I’m Still Young – The Talking Drums 1.2v’. In it you can also find a breakdown of the album lyrics and concept with personal commentary on how the songs were inspired and written. The album was released along with this book on AUGUST 11th, 2009.
