Welcome to the Fredericksburg All Ages (FAA) myspace. FAA was started in the summer of 2006 to counteract the lack of music venues available to young people in the greater Fredericksburg-area. It was created by young musicians who wanted a place to perform their art in front of their peers, and by young music fans who wanted to see all ages live music without driving to larger cities like D.C. or Richmond.
Soon after its creation, FAA became a project of The Fredericksburg Athenaeum (a local non-profit dedicated to the arts and literature). With the Athenaeum's help and tutelage, FAA has been able to grow and expand. Most concerts work in tandem with another Athenaeum project, The Panta Rhei Project, which provides resources and opportunities for young artists in the Fredericksburg area.
Fredericksburg All Ages take place at a variety of locations: The 3rd Floor of 810 Caroline St., Eyeclopes Studio, The Wounded Bookshop, The Downtown Library and The Loft. All concerts are non-profit, youth-oriented and are volunteer led and run. All FAA-sponsored shows are all ages and alcohol-free. From time-to-time, this myspace will help promote other local all ages shows that are not FAA sponsored.
Booking Info
Please email bookingFAA@gmail.com for booking inquiries, myspace messages are getting too confusing!
New Booking Policies *Please Read*
Updated on March 2, 2009: At this time, Fredericksburg All Ages is not accepting booking requests for out-of-town touring bands. Occasionally, we will host non-local bands to play shows but this will be on an invite-only basis and will cater best to bands close enough to play a one-off show instead of touring bands routing through and hoping to jump on a bill.
As always, the purpose of FAA shows are two-fold: 1) to give young local Fredericksburg-area songwriters and bands a place to play, especially if they're too young to perform in bars or 21+ venues, and 2) to provide young music fans with a place to see and hear quality live entertainment at affordable prices without having to make the trek to DC or Richmond.
Therefore, local high school and college-aged bands have first priority in booking. Second priority will go to well-known established acts who wish to play FAA.
Bands wanting to play FAA are encouraged to email us at bookingFAA@gmail.com (Do not contact us via myspace). Please do not contact us requesting shows for specific dates. We are very limited as to when and where we can do shows and do not have the capability to cater to touring schedules.
We're open to booking any genre of music, but will consistently say "No" to bands who are sexist, racist, homophobic, excessively dogmatic or who promote violence, hatred or destructive behavior.
