Lots of guys have played on Fred's records and in his band over the years. These include the likes of Jerome Dillon (drummer for Nine Inch Nails), Phil Maneri (of Fifth Avenue Fretshop fame), and producer Dan Baird (of the Georgia Satelites). His backing band was once called the Franklin County All-Stars.
Currently Fred is the frontman for the band More Cowbell, which predominantly plays his solo material. This lineup includes:
