Born and raised in McRae, GA - a small, middle Georgia town that is perhaps best known for the Dairy Queen stop on Hwy 341. The youngest of 4 total siblings, I was blessed to grow up in a Christian, loving home. My years were filled with small-town activites, hunting, fishing, 4-H club, "Outdoor Education" and all the fun stuff small towns are known for.
In 1989, I graduated from Telfair County High School as an Honor Graduate and "Most Likely To Succeed" and went to Georgia Southern University on a music scholarship where I obtained a Batcher of Music double-majoring in Piano Performance and Theory Composition. During the last half of my college years I began to "seriously" commit to a relationship with Jesus Christ. Although I'd grown up in church my entire life, and had responded to the "salvation" altar call in 1983, i began to realize that I was called to use my musical giftings for God and was first exposed to "contemporary praise and worship music".
My first job was as the Worship Director at New Life Christian Fellowship in Vicksburg, MS. In 1995 I moved to Saint Simons Island, GA where I was the full-time Chief Musician/Worship Leader at Christian Renewal Church of Saint Simons Island (www.christianrenewalssi.org). At the same time, I started my first business, Highest Praise Productions, Inc. (www.highestpraise.com) and recorded my first three instrumental recordings - "QuietTimes", "QuietTimes Volume 2" and "Be Glorified". My production company grew as I continued to record, publish, and produce indie music. As music and multimedia began to take the internet by storm, I began using the internet to promote the music I'd produced and published and soon started a new company called "HPP Christian Web Hosting Solutions" (www.hppwebsolutions.com) - a company dedicated to providing professional web hosting, e-commerce, multimedia streaming, podcasting, and design. As my role and businesses grew, I eventually resigned from my full-time position at Christian Renewal SSI and became the Part-Time Worship Pastor.
Today, I serve as the Full Time Worship/Music Director for St. Simons Community Church. My production studio and internet business is located on St. Simons Island where I enjoy a blessed, fun life with my wife Joy and 4 beautiful kids, Jon Michael, Will, Rebekah, and Andrew.
My passion is to see people discover God's Presence through worship and media.

Fred I also enjoyed the lunch and conversation. I'm learning a lot just by listening to people who are knowledgeable in things that interest me. I thank God for allowing this relationship as brothers to come forth and I don't take it for granted that you are who you are through Jesus Christ. I will definitely keep WUTS up in prayer.

College... yes, I believe it is so. It's really hard to believe especially since Sam's turning 16 this summer, and she's already asking to drive my car! Haha, in her dreams...jk :) Well, how have yall been doing? I watched the video clip from Worship Under the Stars, and it was awesome! I had really wanted to go, but had to work that night. When is it going to be this year? cuz I'm definitely going!!!
