Influences
The songwriting that has been done comes from two distinctively different backgrounds. Andi has a formal music education and was raised on standards and ballads. The artists that have influenced her the most are Sting and James Taylor. Bawb, who has no formal education in music, prefers to seek out eclectic and obscure musical expressions and has been influenced by a great number of alternative or under ground artists such as Brian Eno, Fred Frith and the band Hugo Largo. Together, with input from Scott, we collaborate on themes and variations resulting in the songs of which a few are represented here. Over the last few years, over 40 songs have been written and are available for review to see if a song meets your needs. Work is being done to complete a CD project to highlight our songwriting ability as an expression of Jazz. We are available for collaboration or hire to help create or complete a project.
