Some Like It Hot is an all female A Cappella from SUNY Fredonia in Fredonia, New York. We have been dazzling crowds since 2001 and are proud to be the only female group on campus. SLIH released their 1st album “From The Hips” in 2005 featuring songs from Third Eye Blind, Madonna, Ace of Base, Three Dog Night and several others. All the songs that you hear during our performances & on the CD have been arranged by a current member or former member of the group. The girls, lovingly dubbed “the Hotties” by audiences across New York sing songs from rock, to pop, to hip hop. We perform @ numerous Universities, High Schools and Middle Schools throughout NY state during the entire academic year as well as hosting the Annual Acafest Invitational in the spring semester. SLIH has competed in previous ICCAs and will be recording their untitled 2nd album next fall to be released in Spring 2009. This group of sisters loves nothing more then to have a great time and lighting up the stage with their amazing talents. Have any of you ever seen those cool beat boxers during shows?? Well one thing that you will see in Some Like It Hot is that every girl can do vocal percussion to some extent. Over the years and with LOTS and LOTS of practice, many of the girls have become quite proficient in the art of percussing.
