"Cambridge girl-fronted no messing old school street punk band. Four of em, three rather large beefy males and a pink haired girl called Rhianna Milton. Tuneful yet shouty '77 style punk rock with a poppy hook or two here and then. Think raw basic no messing Pistols, X-Ray Spex, Vibrators, Vice Squad, Blondie flavoured delivered with straight ahead right on your toes in your face chav-girl baiting style. No messing, proper basic punk, don't think they'd claim to be doing anything radically different, they're laced with the right attitude, sound like they'd be a blast live".... www.organart.com
Freedom Faction is Nick Grant, Jez Arnold (aka Strang), Rhianna Milton and Tom Maddox. Nick and Strang used to be in the now defunct Out of Nowhere. Strang has upgraded from keyboards to guitar - look out Steve Jones!! There's a harder sound this time and the stunning female vocals make us stand out from the crowd. The tracks here are from the EP "We Present You With These..." which is available now. We're recording a 7-track EP at the moment, stay tuned for release dates, plus we'll be out and about gigging near you soon...... Come along to a gig and get blown away.....
New 5-track CD "We Present You With These" now available. Only £2.50 free p&p!! "CD is sounding ace - love it, love it, love it - great vocals, great tunes...." - fungalpunk "I strongly urge everyone to buy freedom faction's cd..it is fucking great, well worth the 2.50" - Roblawless666 "We like it very much indeed. It sounds to us like The Dickies & The Toy Dolls produced a bastard child after an unwise night on the piss. This is a GOOD thing." - DEaTH DiScO Message us for details or better still come to a gig & pick one up.
The music's still bad ass, still fucking love it. Thanks for keeping punk rock true and free. - Johnny Noxious
Thanks for the add. I've actually seen you before, when you played with 999, Charred Hearts and whoever else at the Bridgehouse2 in London last year. Good sound! (Y)
Woooow...that's indescribably awesome. Does that mean you saw Eater or the Subway Sect even, perhaps?..and when the anarcho bands (Crass, namely) began arising in '77-'78 and essentially creating that now-classic rift in the scene did you choose a side, like it both, or..? Today most everyone just likes it all to be sure, but I'm sure back then when it was first happening it had an effect on you? Did you ever go to a Crass show, or any other late '70's - early '80's UK anarcho band? Thanks once again for the gracious doling of your goods. Keep in touch I surely will *cheers*
Oi! 'ello my UK punk friends! A couple questions on my mind...are any of you into anarcho punk, particularly early 80's UK...Crass, Conflict, Rudimentary Peni etc.?..were any of you into punk during the "old days" (haha sorry..not trying to imply how old I think you are, just a couple of you look like there's a chance you could've been around back then so I thought I'd ask) and if so what band(s) did you see?..and finally, did any of you attend the very first Holidays In The Sun Festival at Blackpool Winter Gardens in 2002? Slaughter & the Dogs reunion show! Id've sold my soul to the Devil for that but good thing I didn't 'cause they're still touring today anyways.....haha *cheers*
Oi! *cheers* and hailings from beyond the Void! My it has been some time since I've communicated with you. The ruts we get in certainly don't discriminate on how long they wish to keep you there, as you seasoned battle-scarred punkers know..but I'm back and glad to be giving a little hello to the Freedom Faction. It seems your progress has steadily marched onwards and upwards my friends..congratulations and many *cheers* I could well presume that gigs in Southern California are a ways off financially and organizationally but if that DOES happen, expect me to round up the kids and psych up the energy for our English punk friends from across the lake. Hope all continues to go well for you and I will act as a...hmm..a lawn sprinkler shooting bits of Freedom Faction all across the state! *cheers*...the other Milton punk.
Oi you crazy freedom punks! you coming down to watch us play at Junction on friday night? if you are and would like a ticket let us know. on stage at 7.55! early but that means more driking time after xxx
